PRICHARD, Alex. "The International Political Philosophy of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865)."

PhD in progress 2003-

Department of International Politics, University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

"This thesis seeks to bring the international political philosophy of
Pierre-Joseph Proudhon to the attention of scholars working in the field
of International Relations and an English speaking audience more
generally. Anarchism is routinely ignored in the discipline of IR despite
Proudhon having published four volumes with direct bearing on how we study
world politics in the UK and elsewhere. It is the intention of this thesis
to fill this historical and intellectual/ideological lacuna."

This dissertation was the inspiration for Alex Prichard’s book, Justice, Order, Anarchy. The International Political Theory of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
