Capital Connects Investor Education

Launching Greensboro’s Capital Connects pitch competition offers companies that raise seeds and Series A’s the opportunity to win cash and in-kind prizes and connect with regional investors and community members.

Application Deadline: WNC Appalachian Opportunity
April 15
Mountain BizWorks will host the North Carolina launch of Opportunity Appalachia, a five-state program that invests in rural and downtown development and redevelopment projects. Selected communities will receive between $30,000 and $75,000 in technical assistance to support their proposed development projects.

IdeaFest Business Pitch Contest
April 28, 1 p.m. @Cottontail Weddings & Events (in Virginia)
The Launch Place, a seed fund based in Virginia but serving local startups through its RTP office, is hosting its seventh annual IdeaFest Business Pitch competition. Prizes totaling $10,000 will be split among the top three contestants, and winners will also be eligible to receive 25 hours of free business advice from The Launch Place. The event is free and open to the public.
