Kathy Ferguson lives in Honolulu and teaches political science and women’s studies at the University of Hawai’i.

Her writings include: Emma Goldman: Political Thinking in the Streets (Lanham, MD: Rowman and Littlefield, 2011). She also researches and writes about militarism, globalization, and bureaucracy.

When her two sons were diagnosed with serious learning disabilities, she became active in local movements to change education so that all children can learn to read and write.
